Carryforward from ProFile® T1 and T3, Cantax® T1, and Taxprep® T3
This update activates ProFile® T1 and T3, Cantax® T1, and Taxprep® T3 carryforwards from 2016 to 2017 that were not available in version 6.2.31935.0. You can now carry forward 2016 files to 2017 to see the data in 2017 TaxCycle files. Note that all carry forwards are currently under review and will have more updates before the 2017 filing season.
Status of 2016 to 2017 carryforwards from Taxprep® T1, VisualTax™ T1, and DT Max® T1
We are currently reviewing T1 carryforwards from 2016 versions of the following software: Taxprep® T1, VisualTax™ T1, and DT Max® T1. You cannot yet carry forward files from these software packages into TaxCycle T1 2017. We will release them once they become available.
Engagement worksheet in TaxCycle T3
This release standardizes the Engagement worksheet in TaxCycle T3 so that it behaves like it does in TaxCycle T1. This involved moving the fields related to the preparer and filing from the Info worksheet to the Engagement worksheet, as well as activating bulletin review messages to allow you to update the related information from options. If you started a 2017 T3 return in version 6.2.31935.0, any data you entered will be automatically transferred to the format.
TaxCycle T2: Issue with the T106 used condition
This release fixes an issue with the T106 used condition. When gross revenue flowed from the S125 into the T016S (T106Summary), TaxCycle was mistakenly marking the T106 as used and automatically checking box 171 in the T2 jacket. This issue has been resolved.
