We love giving you ways to make your tasks easier and paper-free. Currently on deck with the TaxCycle team are two features that will change the way you interact with your clients this tax season: DocuSign digital signatures and RC59/RC59X EFILE from all modules.
Digital and electronic signatures for T1013 and RC59 with DocuSign®
The most-requested feature since Trilogy Software first started back in 2010 is finally here... Digital signatures.
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) permits the use of digital signatures on the T1013 and RC59 forms to help preparers obtain authorization to represent an individual and business, respectively. (Sorry, the CRA still requires a paper signature on the T183 Information Return for Electronic Filing of an Individual's Income Tax and Benefit Return.)
This means no more meetings, printing, scanning, mailing, courier, drop-off, etc., before you can start working and filing an authorization request with the CRA. Have your client electronically sign their engagement letter, T1013 and/or RC59 all at the same time, from wherever they are. What a time-saver when engaging new clients!
To make this as easy and efficient as possible for TaxCycle preparers, we are integrating with DocuSign® so you can easily use your DocuSign® account to get signatures from your clients.
RC59 electronic filing in TaxCycle T1, T3 and T5013
Preparers LOVE that you can now file the RC59/RC59X forms for obtaining or cancelling authorization to represent a business from TaxCycle T2/CO-17. We're expanding this service in the new year to apply to all TaxCycle modules. Anytime you need to request authorization to access a CRA business account, you will be able to do it, whether from TaxCycle T1, T2, T3, T5013, etc.
Watch the news feed in TaxCycle and your inbox for emails from us for more details on these features coming soon.
