RESOLVED: Non-Capital Loss Not Being Claimed in AT1 Schedule 21, Line 041

The latest versions of TaxCycle (14.0.55054.0 and 14.0.55072.0) are not automatically applying the non-capital loss against Alberta income on line 041 of the AT1 Schedule 21 (AS21) when there is an unused AT1 non-capital loss carryforward.

Workaround

Answer Yes to the question “Do you wish to claim a different amount?” on the AS21. Then, manually enter the claim amount.

Resolution

We resolved this issue in the latest TaxCycle update.
