On February 11, 2026, we deployed an update to TaxFolder that included the following improvements and fixes.
Mobile UI Improvements
We have improved the mobile experience for TaxFolder by updating the user interface for more intuitive navigation:
Updated the interface to make engagement and status labels clickable.
Moved firm details to a banner at the top next to the logo for better visibility.
Preparer photos no longer show within engagements.
Updated buttons to scale properly on mobile devices.
Added a new field that allows clients to send custom notes to their preparer when notifying them to start the return.
Customer Requests
Updated the sort order of the dropdown menu on the client engagement page so it only shows the last ten engagements, with the most recent engagement at the top. Also added an option to show more engagements at the bottom of the list.
Added support for Toronto’s new 942 area code in all phone number fields.
Resolved Issues
Customer Reported TaxFolder now properly records when documents are completed by recipients on the History page.
Fixed an issue where, when clicking the browser back button from an engagement, TaxFolder failed to return to the Client List.
Fixed an issue affecting file downloads. Previously, if multiple files had the same name but different special characters, only one would appear in the downloaded .zip folder. TaxFolder now correctly identifies these as unique files and includes all selected documents in the download.
Customer Reported Fixed an issue where TaxFolder did not retain updated client information for new document requests if the page was not refreshed after updating the information.
