UPDATE EFILE Error 2097: Ontario Seniors Care at Home Tax Credit

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has notified us that EFILE error 2097 is incorrectly returned when a taxpayer has a marital status of married or common law, as the spouse’s or common-law partner’s income is not being considered by the system in the calculation of the Ontario Seniors Care at Home Tax Credit.

UPDATE: The CRA has confirmed that they will correct their system on March 6. If you received this error, please try again after that date.
