Known Issue: Rejected T1 EFILE Transmissions for Prior Years

We are aware of an issue where transmitting a T1 return for 2023 or prior years may result in a “rejected” response from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

In many cases, the CRA may successfully receive the return despite this message. This is due to a recent change in the CRA’s XML response format for prior-year transmissions from 2014–2023.
