RESOLVED: T2 Automatic File Locking

TaxCycle T2 does not automatically lock the file after transmitting all required forms or returns, even when configured to do so in module options. Automatic file locking still works correctly in TaxCycle T1 files.

Workaround

1. After transmitting all required forms or returns in the file, check to see whether the data is locked:
   • A locked file changes the text in all fields to green non-edit text and a green message shows above the form area.
   • An unlocked file has black and blue text in most fields and a grey message shows above the form area. 
2. If the file is not locked, click the Lock button in the grey message or go to the Security menu and click Lock File.
3. Save the file before closing it.

Resolution

We resolved this issue in the latest TaxCycle release.
