RESOLVED: T2 Transmission Rejected Due to Systems Maintenance

We are currently receiving reports of rejected T2 Corporation Internet Filing and T2 Attach-a-doc transmissions. Affected users are encountering the following error message:

“Systems maintenance | Entretien des systèmes. Unable to read the response from the CRA.”

We are working closely with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to identify the root cause. The CRA is currently investigating their systems to resolve the communication error.

If you encounter this error message while transmitting a T2 return, you can send us the specific Support ID from the failed transmission to investigate the issue with our development team.

To retrieve your Support ID:

  1. With a file open, click the File menu, then Info.
  2. Click History to see an audit trail of actions for all taxpayers in the file.

  3. Find the row with the CRA rejected event.
  4. Click the button with the blue downward arrow to save the response file to your computer.

  5. Open the .cor response file in Notepad.
  6. Look for the Support ID. You can press Ctrl + F and search for “Support ID” to find it quickly.
  7. Copy the Support ID and send it to our support team along with your T2 return file.

Along with the Support ID, please include the following details in your email to our support team:

  • The T2 return file: Attach the specific TaxCycle T2 file you attempted to transmit.
  • IP Address: Provide the IP address of the computer where the transmission took place.
  • Time Zone: Provide the time zone (e.g., MST, PST, EST) of the transmission time, as recorded at the bottom of the T2CIFWS or AttachADoc worksheet.
