CRA submit documents functionality

The service to submit documents to the CRA that was introduced last year has changed. The expanded service allows you to submit certain documents, other than those in response to a request for documents with a case or reference number. To access the list of allowable submissions and to submit related documents, proceed as follows.

  1. Go to Represent a Client.
  2. You can click on Submit documents immediately OR access your client's account and then click on Submit document.
  3. If you're not in a client file, you will need to:

    i) Select the client type and indicate if you have a case or reference number

    ii) Provide the client's identification number (SIN, BN, etc.).

  4. Once done, the Submit documents page will open.
  5. Select the item from the list that corresponds to the type of document(s) you want to submit.
  6. Click on Continue.
    The page Submit documents - Upload file will display.

  7. Attach the file(s) and click on Upload file.
