Release Highlights

Status of T3 Forms

The Preview watermark has been removed from the following forms:

  • The CCA form for T776, T2042, T2121, T2125, T1163, and T1273.

All other 2025 T3 forms were finalized in previous releases.

Updates to CCA in T3 and T5013

This release updates CCA calculations in both TaxCycle T3 and T5013 to incorporate the Reaccelerated Investment Incentive Property (RIIP) measures enacted in Bill C-15, which received Royal Assent on March 26, 2026.

The RIIP mechanics mirror the previous accelerated CCA (AIIP) calculations by applying a relevant factor or variable to the RIIP additions, resulting in an upward adjustment to UCC for the sole purpose of calculating CCA.

We have added the variables for these calculations to the RIIPNote worksheet in TaxCycle T3 and the S8Note in TaxCycle T5013.

Updated Forms

We have revised the following forms, including the related CCA and Asset Manager worksheets, to incorporate RIIP measures:

  • T3: All business and rental statements (T776, T2042, T2121, T2125, T1163, and T1273)
  • T5013: Schedule 8 and S8Asset

To learn how to apply RIIP to your client files, please refer to the Reaccelerated Investment Incentive Property (RIIP) help topic. While the examples provided are for T2 returns, you can easily adapt them for T3 and T5013.

Applying Calculation Changes

When you open a file saved in a prior version of TaxCycle, you will see a message about the CCA calculation changes.

TaxCycle handles updates to the CCA calculations based on the status of the return:

  • Unlocked or not completed/filed: TaxCycle automatically calculates CCA using the new RIIP rules. Click the Accept button in the red calculation changed warning message.
  • “Filed,” “Completed,” or “Locked”: Calculations remain unchanged and you can apply the new calculations if you wish by first unlocking the file and then clicking the link in the related review message.

For more details on how to address these messages, see the CCA Calculation Change Messages news article.

Filing 2026 Slips

When transmitting slips to the CRA via Internet File Transfer, you may see a “warning” message indicating the filing is for the “current calendar year.”

If your data is correct, and you intend to file for the current year, you can simply bypass the warning and file as usual. Your transmission will complete normally with no further action required.

Template Updates

The 2026 Ontario budget announced a change in the threshold for lump-sum Trillium benefit payments from $360 to $500. To update a custom Client Letter (CLetter) or Joint Client Letter (JLetter) template, search and replace the following two conditions:

Search for: Replace with:
TrilliumWorkSheet.Credits.M[57] <= 360 TrilliumWorkSheet.Credits.M[57] <= 500
TrilliumWorkSheet.Credits.M[57] > 360 TrilliumWorkSheet.Credits.M[57] > 500

Resolved Issues

  • Customer Reported T1—Resolved an issue where TaxCycle incorrectly triggered a message stating that T183 amounts had changed and that the T183 should be reprinted, even though the amounts remained the same. This occurred when saving a TaxCycle file in French and subsequently reopening it in English.
  • Customer Reported T3 and T5013—Fixed an issue where TaxCycle did not correctly mask fields when printing slips.
