TaxCycle Go works alongside TaxCycle Desktop. It adds to what you already use. It doesn’t replace it.
Desktop handles the core work.
Tax return preparation stays where your team is fastest and most accurate.
Cloud handles the firm-level problems.
TaxCycle Go adds organization, team coordination, visibility, and mobility.
Included with TaxCycle Desktop, a central place to set up your organization, manage your team, and distribute the shared options your staff uses.
Upgrade to access returns from anywhere, share returns across your team, get real-time e-signature status updates and track status on the dashboard.
Configure roles, permissions, and shared options once in the cloud, instead of setting them up on each computer in your firm. No pre-tax-season rush to configure options on every computer.
Stop managing shared drives and dealing with multiple copies of the same return on different machines. Share returns from one central place, while keeping TaxCycle Desktop as your editing home.
TaxCycle Go's dashboard tracks return and e-signature status across your firm. Know what's in progress, what's ready to file, and where bottlenecks are. No more opening files to check or asking around the office.
During tax season, accountants work from home, the office, the road. With TaxCycle Go Essentials, your team can sign in and access returns from anywhere.
We're adding cloud capabilities, not replacing Desktop. Your firm can benefit from cloud organization and storage while working in the familiar TaxCycle experience.
Start with the free features to organize your firm, then add cloud storage when it makes sense. No pressure to move everything at once or abandon Desktop.
You can use TaxCycle Go to set up your organization, configure roles and permissions, and manage and distribute shared options profiles. It gives your firm a foundation for using TaxCycle's cloud capabilities. Cloud storage for tax returns is part of TaxCycle Go Essentials.
No. TaxCycle Go is designed as a hybrid solution to support a gradual transition. We're adding cloud capabilities while maintaining the rich editing experience of TaxCycle Desktop, an experience we know is important to your firm. You can learn about the free TaxCycle Go experience first and decide whether cloud storage through TaxCycle Go Essentials is right for your firm.
All tax data, including backups, stored in TaxCycle Go is hosted on Canadian servers. Third-party integrations or supporting services do not have access to your tax return data without your explicit consent.
You can bulk export returns from TaxCycle Go Essentials back to local storage. This means if your firm's needs change, or if you decide cloud storage isn't right for certain returns, you have a straightforward way to move them back to your desktop. You can keep some returns in the cloud for team access and bring others back to local storage as needed.
We've chosen not to support DoxCycle storage in TaxCycle Go at this time. TaxCycle tax returns are stored in TaxCycle Go's cloud infrastructure, while DoxCycle files remain stored locally or on a shared drive, just as they are today. The link between TaxCycle and locally stored DoxCycle files continues to work the same way.
Cloud tax return preparation is something we're exploring for the future, but it is not part of the initial TaxCycle Go launch and we don't have a date to share today. Our focus is on unlocking value sooner through a staged, hybrid approach: adding practical cloud capabilities that work alongside TaxCycle Desktop and building from that foundation over time. This lets you benefit from cloud access, organization, shared settings, roles and permissions, and return-status visibility now. We'll share more as plans develop.
TaxCycle Go is the first step in a multi-year journey. We're committed to releasing new cloud capabilities over time, built on this practical foundation and designed to work alongside the TaxCycle Desktop experience your firm uses today. We're taking a thoughtful approach so you can unlock value sooner, rather than waiting for one large change or making a risky all-or-nothing move to the cloud.
