Known Issue: Client Manager Server Unreachable or Stopped

We have received reports that TaxCycle version 12.1.50435.0 may display a message on the Start screen that the Client Manager server is unreachable or has stopped.

Workaround

  1. From the Start screen, click Options in the blue bar on the left side. If you have a file open, go to the File menu, then click Options.
  2. Click on Client Manager.
  3. On this page, you can see the Status of your Client Manager server. If it is Running, you can close this page and dismiss the message on the Start screen.

If the status is Stopped, you will need to restart your Client Manager server.

  1. Click the link to open the detailed configuration options.
  2. Click Start, then click OK.
  3. The Status on the Client Manager page should now say that it is running. 
  4. Click Apply or OK to save your changes.
  5. You can now dismiss the message on the Start screen.
