Known Issue: Custom Templates Missing Content When Printed

When printing from a custom template to a physical printer or generating a PDF, large sections of the output may not print, most often affecting the top of the letter.

This appears to happen when a table falls at the very end of a page, just before a page break. Changing the font size often adjusts the layout enough to move the table and resolve the issue, though this workaround may not resolve it in every case.

Workaround

Reducing the font size in your custom template to 10 pt may resolve the issue.

  1. In the Template Editor, open the custom template.
  2. Press Ctrl+A to select all the content in the template.
  3. Set the font size to 10 from the font size menu.
Screen Capture: Set the font size to 10
  4. Repeat for each custom template affected by the issue.
Important! This workaround brings the custom template out of sync with the default 11 pt font size used in TaxCycle’s built-in templates. If you change a custom template’s font size to work around this issue, make a note to change it back once we release a fix. In the meantime, you may notice that custom templates print at a different font size than built-in templates.

Anticipated Resolution

We’re continuing to investigate this issue, with a fix planned for a future release.
