RESOLVED: TaxFolder Creates Duplicate Engagements when Sorting by First Name

We’ve learned that TaxFolder is creating duplicate engagements when an engagement is added from the Client List tab in the Preparer Dashboard and the list is sorted alphabetically by first name. Clicking on the client name in the Client List will also show these duplicate engagements under other clients’ names. 

When you sort the Client List by first name and add an engagement for a client in the list, TaxFolder creates a duplicate engagement for each of the clients that are sorted alphabetically ahead of the selected client. Each of those duplicate engagements will contain the automatically generated engagement label created for the client for whom you were originally trying to add the engagement. This causes the other clients in the list to erroneously receive a notification that an engagement was added, but not for them.

Workaround

Select the client for whom you want to add an engagement and add the engagement from the client record pageDO NOT SORT the Client List by first name.
