Following TaxCycle’s acquisition by Xero Limited (“Xero”) in December 2021, Trilogy Software Inc. (our corporate entity operating the TaxCycle business) has amalgamated with Xero’s primary Canadian operating company, Xero Software (Canada) Ltd. (“Xero Canada”), effective June 1, 2022. Xero is a global cloud accounting software platform for small businesses and their advisors—which has a growing presence in Canada.
The primary purpose of the amalgamation is to simplify the corporate structure of Xero’s Canadian operations. This means TaxCycle and Xero Canada will continue to operate as separate businesses, as they previously have, and the amalgamation will not result in any substantive changes to your customer experience with TaxCycle, our product offerings or the team in charge of delivering TaxCycle’s products and services.
The legal entity resulting from the amalgamation has adopted Xero Canada’s name, so we have updated our privacy policy to reflect this change in the name of the corporate entity operating TaxCycle. Aside from replacing references to “Trilogy Software Inc.” with “Xero Software (Canada) Limited”, there have been no other changes to the privacy policy.
