Zoom and View

Zoom a Form

In the blue bar at the bottom right of the TaxCycle window, you can adjust the form size:

1. Click the fit to width button to fill the space to the full width of the form.
2. Click the fit to height button to see a full page of the form.
3. Click the plus + or minus - signs to zoom in or out.
4. Click the magnifying glass to reset the resolution to 100%.

Collapse or Move a Sidebar

You can change the placement and state of any sidebars in the Client Manager or in the Main TaxCycle window to fit your screen.

1. Unpin a sidebar to make it disappear when you move your mouse away from it.
2. Pin a sidebar to keep it open on screen.
3. Click the arrow button to move a sidebar to the other side of the window.
4. Hover your cursor over the divider, click and drag to make the sidebar wider or narrower.

View Menu

Click on the View menu to see more options for navigating and customizing your workspace:

1. Click Show Favourites to show or hide the favourites bar. See the Favourites Bar help topic.
2. Click Show Sidebar to show or hide the sidebar.
3. Choose a collapse or expand button to change the display of folders within the sidebar.
4. Choose a Zoom option to change the magnification of forms on screen. These are the same options as in the blue bar at the bottom of the window.
5. Use the Switch Taxpayers button to switch between taxpayers in the return. This includes spouses and dependants. See the Dependant and Family Returns help topic.
6. When preparing a Québec TP1 return, click the Province button to open the equivalent provincial form to the current federal T1 form.
7. Click the Prior year button to open the prior year return (or create a prior year return). See also the Carry Back to a Prior Year help topic.
8. Click Switch Windows to jump to a different TaxCycle window.
