Import GIFI from Caseware Working Papers

Learn how to import GIFI data from Caseware Working Papers into TaxCycle T2.

To get started, make sure you have the latest versions of TaxCycle and Working Papers installed. You can install the latest version of Working Papers from MyCaseware.

1. Open or create a new TaxCycle T2 file, then exit TaxCycle.
2. In Working Papers, go to Engagement Properties and set the Tax Jurisdiction to Canada.
   
3. In the Engagement tab, click on Export and then select GIFI.
4. From the Export Type dropdown list, select Direct export to TaxCycle T2. 
5. Click Browse to select the TaxCycle T2 file for which you are importing the data.
6. Click OK.
   
7. TaxCycle will automatically launch and display a banner confirming that the GIFI data has been imported into the return.
