Under TaxFolder Account Settings, Administrators can change Organization settings that affect all members of the firm. Staff can only change settings that affect their own account.

  1. Organization Name
    For Admins Only—Populated from the information in your TaxCycle Account when you first sign into TaxFolder. The Organization Name is used in emails and displayed to the client.
  2. Organization Address
    For Admins Only—The full address for the business.
  3. Organization Phone Number
    For Admins Only—The full phone number for the business. For numbers outside of Canada, add the country code. For example, +44 (555) 123-4567.
  4. Send Email As
    For Admins Only—Choose a “From” address for sending emails to your clients from TaxFolder. Email still originates from the TaxFolder server using the email address This only changes the information that appears to the recipient in the From field of the email client.

    We do not monitor the email address and automatically delete any email sent to this address. Anyone sending to this address will receive an automatic reply with a similar message.
  5. Organization Email
    For Admins Only—The email address used for replies when you choose to direct replies to the Organization, below.
  6. Direct Replies To
    For Admins Only—Choose whose email address to direct replies to messages from TaxFolder. This sets the reply-to address on all messages sent from your account.
    • If you choose Preparer, TaxFolder uses the email address associated with the preparer assigned to the Engagement.
    • If you choose Organization, you must enter an email address in the Organization Email field above.
  7. Language Preference
    For Admins Only—Choose the default language for when you add new clients and team members. Clients and preparers can change their individual language preference through their respective portals.
  8. Time Zone
    For Admins Only—Choose the preferred time zone for your firm.
  9. Click Save.
