Printer Settings

Updated: 2021-08-10

In 2020 and 2021, we enhanced Options Profiles and local options folder to accept printer settings that were previously only stored on the hard drive. If you have an existing options profile, we recommend you add those files to it. At some point in the future, we will be requiring everyone to transition to this new format. Please read the Move Settings and Templates to an Options Profile to learn more.

The Printer Settings page in options allows you to manage the settings files that contain the print and PDF output options for each print set or form. You can share this page and the files in an Options Profile.

  1. From the Start screen, click Options in the blue bar on the left side. If you have a file open, go to the File menu, then click Options.
  2. On the left, expand Files and folders, then click on Printer Settings.
  3. Check the Share printer settings box at the top of the page.
  4. If you are using an Options Profile, click the Copy to [Options Profile Name] to move the printer settings files into the Options Profile zip file.
  5. Click Use default location to store your printer settings in the default local options folder. However, this will not move the existing files to the default local options folder.
