Copy a Field Code

Click the Link in the Blue Bar

1. Place your cursor in a field on a form.
2. Click the field code link on the left in the blue bar at the bottom of the TaxCycle window. This copies the field code to the Clipboard.
3. Hold down the Ctrl key as you click to copy the field code without the CurrentClient. prefix.
4. Paste the code into a template. It will include the curly brackets needed for templates, such as {{CurrentClient.Info.ID.FirstName}}.

Right-click on a Field

Right-click on the field and select one of the copy field code menu items.

1. Copy field code copies the code to the Clipboard without brackets. For example CurrentClient.Engage.Preparer.ClientID. Use this format in the Data Monitor and in conditions for print sets and templates.
2. Copy field code with {{curly brackets}} includes the curly brackets needed for templates. For example, {{CurrentClient.Engage.Preparer.ClientID}}. Use this format in templates.

Copy Workflow IDs

1. With a file open, go to the Track sidebar and find the workflow item you need.
2. Right-click on a workflow item and select Copy ID for Template. See Workflow IDs to learn how to use this code in templates.
