General Information

Under TaxFolder Account Settings, Administrators can change General Information settings that affect all members of the firm. Staff can only change settings that affect their own account. 

Changing the your name, phone number and address on this page DOES NOT change the contact information in your TaxCycle Account used for purchasing TaxCycle. Please sign in to your account at www.taxcycle.com to update that information.
  1. First Name and Last Name
    For Staff and Admins—Populated from the information in your TaxCycle Account when you first sign into TaxFolder or when an administrator invites someone to TaxFolder.
  2. Phone Number
    For Staff Only—Staff can update their phone number.
  3. Brand With
    For Admins Only—Administrators can choose which name to use when communicating with clients, the Prepare name or the Business name (default).
  4. Business Name
    For Business Branding Only—The business name used in emails and displayed to the client.
  5. Business Address
    For Admins Only—The full address for the business. Similar lines appear for the preparer branding.

  1. Business Phone Number
    For Admins Only—The full address for the business. Similar lines appear for the preparer branding. For numbers outside of Canada, add the country code. For example, +44 (555) 123-4567
  2. Send Email As
    For Admins Only. For Business Branding Only—Choose a "From" address for sending email to your clients from TaxFolder. Email still originates from the TaxFolder server using the email address no-reply@taxfolder.com. This only changes the information that appears to the recipient in the From field of email client.
    • Preparer via TaxFolder <no-reply@taxfolder.com>
    • Firm via TaxFolder <no-reply@taxfolder.com>
    We do not monitor the email address no-reply@taxfolder.com and automatically delete any email sent to this address. Anyone sending to this address will receive an automatic reply with a similar message.
  3. Direct Replies To
    For Admins Only. For Business Branding Only—Choose whose email address to direct replies to messages from TaxFolder. This is sets the reply-to address on all messages sent from your account.
    • If you choose Preparer, TaxFolder uses the email address associated with the preparer assigned to the Engagement.
    • If you choose Firm, you must enter an reply-to email address in the field below.
  4. Reply To Email Address
    For Admins Only. For Business Branding Only—The email address to for replies when you choose to direct replies to the Firm, above.
